Hoxton Square

Hoxton Square is a compact neighbourhood park in Shoreditch. Laid out in 1683, it is thought to be one of London’s oldest garden squares.

In recent years it has been at the heart of the city’s digital creative industry, and is surrounded by offices and nightlife venues. The surrounding buildings enclose the square, giving an inner-city feel but with plenty of London character.

Notable Hackney-based artist STIK created his first public sculpture for the park: the bronze statue titled ‘Holding Hands’.
