Hackney Marshes
Hackney Marshes is one of the largest areas of common land in London and offers a range of filming locations, from sports facilities to rural landscapes.
Several sports pitches and goalposts are set up on the grass, which can usually be used on weekdays. Meanwhile, the north of the site offers wilder landscapes, with areas of longer grass and tree-lined paths. The River Lea can be used as a backdrop from riverside paths or Friends Bridge.
Hackney Marshes Centre car park is available as a unit base or for crew parking. The interior of the Centre can also be hired as green room space (via GLL).
Accessibility: powered mobility aids, such as golf buggies, may be used on site by prior arrangement. Please speak to Screen Hackney about any access needs; we are happy to help.
